HORSE & HUMAN INTUITION

TRUST the hardest part

Trust is not the same as love but they are equally important. Trust to a horse carries the same meaning/value as it does for a human. Readers, how much do you trust yourself? How many times have you ignored the gut feeling inside of you, dismissed its signals/impressions, only to conclude you didn’t trust your own intuition and instead took the wrong road?

Intuition resides in our second chakra or the gut area. It’s also referred to as the second brain because our guts and brains are wired to communicate. As an Animal Communicator, I communicate with all types of animals; birds, rabbits, dogs, horses, cats, etc. Horses by far seem to be the most spiritual and intuitive by way of their communication. I would also include dogs as intuitive however with horse communication there seems to always be a profoundness in their messages. I can speak firsthand to that. Because intuition and gut feelings lie in the guts, it’s no wonder horses have one of the largest gut systems in the animal kingdom and explains why I find them to be highly intuitive. A horse will always trust the connection to his gut signals (a survival instinct). We, on the other hand, are not so trusting of our own signals. I have listened to countless clients who, after being thrown off their horses, “confess” they had a feeling, or say they felt off that day, ignoring their own body signals and often the body signals of the horse who graciously tried to warn them. Most horse trainers and I would agree, the horse needs little training compared to the human.

Why is this? There are several reasons. One of the most common reasons is that we don’t slow down to pay attention to our body signals that are always working properly. None of us needs a psychotherapist to tell us we are unhappy. Our bodies “depress” vs “express” and we spiral down a rabbit hole of medications to “fix” the fact we are not listening to our own bodies. How can we possibly trust our body signals if we are not connected to them? If you can see where I am going with this incongruence that we bring to the horse, you will be in a better position to fix it and improve communication with your horse. Horses connect easily when we are congruent.

True Connection’s new course The Journey Within will begin January 13, 2021. I am partnering with Janice Holly Booth, creator of the Equi-KIT, a ground-breaking program that helps horsemen understand how their communication style interferes with or improves the human-horse connection. Students will take the Equi-KIT online self-assessment in week 2 of this 5-week live webinar series. Where I am the Animal Communicator, Janice is the expert “Human Communicator” and together we will lead you through The Journey Within.

Trust begins by taking a leap of faith and building a foundation, step by step. Relationships -- whether animal or human -- are investments of effort, time, and yes money. They are not without their rewards. Anytime you invest in yourself is a good thing and when you invest in yourself because you want to do your part in the relationship you will bring forth a more congruent YOU to the horse.

I took that leap of faith years ago. I have never looked back.

We look forward to seeing you in the virtual classroom! Wishing each of you and your families both two - four legged and winged a beautiful and Holy Christmas & all the best 2021 has to offer.
